Palm Springs

Called the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, the Palm Springs Aeiral Tramway has the longest singlelift passenger tramway in the world. Two 80 passenger trams rise from the desert floor to 8,516 feet for a breathtaking view of Palm Springs, the Coachella Valley and the Salton Sea. Joshua Tree National Park is nearby.

 

Furnance Creek Death Valley

This well-known hot spot is the lowest elevation in the Western Hemisphere at 282 feet below sea level. The Visitors Centers provide information, brochures and exhibits, as well as golf course and lodging facilities. Scotty’s Castle was built in the 1920’s and is open for tours. Stovepie Wells is a small town near huge dunes.

 

 

Desert Hot Springs

A popular resort, northeast of Palm Springs, across Highway7 10. It is know for natural hot minerqal waters which reach temperatures of 200 desgree F.
